Have you been diagnosed with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) or at-risk of contracting HIV? Are you aged 18 years or older? If so, you may be eligible to participate in an interview study.
This study is being conducted by Gilead Sciences, a pharmaceutical company developing therapies for HIV. They are paying ICON (a contract research organization) to conduct the study. Global Perspectives, a specialist patient recruitment agency, is helping ICON recruit participants for the study.
The purpose of this study is to learn more about the experiences of people living with or at-risk of contracting HIV as well as to gather input about medication impacts, injection acceptability/pain, and other HIV topics important to you. Eligible study participants will be invited to carry out a telephone interview up to 60 minutes in total or an in-person or video interview up to 90 minutes in total. In-person/video interview participants may also be asked to complete a few short electronic questionnaires.
There is no medical treatment provided as part of this study, and all participants who participate in the interview will be compensated for their time with an incentive of either $125 or $175 USD (depending on the length of the interview).
Interviews are expected to take place through summer 2020.
